08th August 2004: This is time for a new start! I (luag) apologize for not taking a good care of this club. For a change, now I'm looking for some people to help me manage this club. As for now, I'm looking for a person who is willing to organize the memberlist, to organize the recruitment, and would like someone to help me organize a monthly competition. This is all for now. Please bear with me.

16th October 2003: Wow, I almost forgot about this club. C'mon, people, JOIN!

2nd October 2003: Yippie! Our work is complete! Feel free to roam the journals and everything because...IT'S DONE! The update is over. So...I guess...this is Newbies' Journal v.2.0, eh?

24th September 2003: Unfortunately, our dear luag has been experiencing some problems with his Internet connection so he can't be as active as he once was . Hopefully, he'll be back on action soon . As for me, I'm pretty busy too with school and all. Anywho, as you may see, the journal has a new look...and a new title heh, I just got bored of the old one. I'm still editing it to make it look clean and shiny; if you have any kind of suggestions, send'em in to me. By the way, we're still looking for someone to make us a devID, we'd appreciate it soooo much if someone was to make us one . Must go now, dinner time!


| What exactly is a newbie? |

In this club, the definition of newbie is member that has registered here at for only three months or less.


| Aim |

Here, newbies are encouraged to support and to help each other. We know it’s pretty hard to get acknowledgement here so let’s support and help each other out! (visit your fellow newbies’ galleries, comment/critique each other's submission, etc, etc…)

This club was made exclusively for newbies, but senior members are welcome if they want to "monitor" potential newbies.

If you want to join as a member:


Please send a note to *luag that includes:
Your specialty (photography/poetry/vector/design/etc... )


If you want to join as a supporter:

Simply send a note to *luag

Note: Every member will be included in ~ newbies's deviantWatch. If you're not in our devWatch yet, feel free to say it here and we'll rectify it as soon as possible. Don't forget to add us to your deviantWatch as well!


| Submission |

After joining, you'll receive a note from us with ~newbies's password. If you haven't received our password yet and, therefore, can't submit, we apologize. Please send us a note so you can get the password. Now, with the password, you may only submit deviations, please don't mess with the journal nor the messages.

Submit your best piece up to date that sums up your art, in other words, introduce us to your style! But don’t forget to mention yourself in the description, so you can get proper credit!

Q - What happens when you are no longer a newbie?
A - After 3 months in the club, the member can choose to stay and help (becoming a supporter) new newbies or resign.
